Nothing makes you happier other than being useful to others. As part of my work, I meet all kinds of people in different professions.
I often like to ask them “WHY they are doing this work?” The other day I met a young social worker, I asked her “what is your WHY?” Her answer wasn’t so clear but as we kept talking it was reviled. Helping people, and seeing PROGRESS. These kinds of answers are repeated over and over. We are social animals and we need to help and support other people and we need to see progress.
